Where are the trails located?
The event will take place on private property at MTB Kingston. It is a members only trail network that we will have access to the day of the event. Please note, registered racers are the only ones allowed to ride. Otherwise a Membership to MTB Kingston is required. www.mtbkingston.ca the address to the trail system will be sent in your registration confirmation email.
What are the event categories and start times?
Start Time / Category / Distance
10:00 AM / Grade 4 and Under Female and Male / 1 Lap – 2.5 km
10:30 AM / Grade 5&6 Female and Male / 1 Lap – 4km
11:00 AM / Grade 7&8 Female and Male / 1 Lap – 4 km
11:30 AM / Junior Female and Male (grade 9&10) / 2 Laps – 8 km
12:00 PM (noon) / Senior Female and Male (grade 11+) / 2 Laps – 8 km
How Does the Relay work?
Each team must have 3 riders, 1 of which MUST be female, from the same Elementary school to be an official team, or mixed schools as a “fun run” team.
For Secondary School Teams, 3 riders, 1 MUST be female, from the same High School, and the 2 other riders MUST be from different categories, Junior Grades 9 & 10, and Senior Grades 11 &12.
1:00 PM / Elementary Relay / 3 X 1 km Loop
1:15 PM / Grade 7&8 Relay / 3 X 1 km Loop
1:30 PM / High School Relay / 3 X 1 km Loop
Is there an awards ceremony?
Yes! At 2:30pm there will be a medal ceremony for top athletes in each category. As well as top schools.
What do I need to bring?
A bike in good working order, water bottle and snacks for the day, an approved cycling helmet, printed waiver.
Parents? Can we drop our kid and go?
NO, there must be a parent, guardian or supervising teacher with your child at all times. You will need to name said adult upon registration.
A note on bike plates
If you are attending the Eastern Ontario School MTB Challenge at Limerick Forest on Friday May 19th, PLEASE re-use your bike plates.
Can we pre-ride the course?
Pre-riding will be available, during registration 8:30am – 9:45am. You MUST be off Course by 9:45am, so the 10:00 am Race start can proceed without hindrance.
I am a Teacher and would like to register a whole team, how do I do that?

Volunteers?
In order to run an event like this, we will need multiple volunteers, from registration, to lead bike and sweep bike riders. If you are interested in helping us, please contact mtadventures0@gmail.com to be assigned a role.

Will the event take place in inclement weather?
We will design a course that can be used in rain, however, thunder and lighting is an immediate termination, and riders will be pulled off course. Dress for the weather!
