…and that pretty much sums up the morning. Run, snow, run, rain, finish—and finally, sun.
We kicked things off with 18 Chickadees, ranging in age from 4 to 13. Despite the chilly conditions, they crossed the finish line all smiles.
After the Chickadee Run, we moved into the main event with staggered starts for the 18 km, 12 km, and 6 km distances.
The original plan was to recognize the top three male and female finishers in each distance. But when the first three runners across the line were all 16 and under, we made a quick call to adjust—giving the adult 6 km runners their own shot at the podium.
